Foutani Farm is a guest lodge situated in the Roodebergen (Rooiberg Mountain Range) in the Clarens District in the Eastern Free State near the Golden Gate National Nature Reserve. The Farm is 896 hectares of scenic mountain area with caves, 4 x 4 mountain track, hiking trails, 8 kilometers of river frontage on the Small Caledon River, Waterfalls and dams. There are 5 chalets sleeping 18 guests, a restaurant seating 50 people with two bars, and the original Sandstone farm house built in 1886, as well as storerooms and sandstone barn.
The farm is also situated in the bread basket of the Free State with 135 hectare of arable land suitable for maize, wheat, beans, potatoes, asparagus, fruit trees, vegetables, and cash crops. The area is also known for cattle breeding and the farm has large areas of grazing land.The are is known as a pest free area due to the altitude as well as the climate. The Clarens area is well known as a tourist area. And game such as wild cats, such as Lynx, and small deer.
